Can you believe it’s already July? How has this year just been flying by? We have been keeping busy this Summer break with a lot of time at the pool, watching movies and whatever else we can find to burn some energy and kill time. Vegas has been so hot lately that all I can seem to think about is our beach trip coming up at the end of the month. T-minus 18 days, woo! We’re heading to La Jolla for a couple of days and can’t wait to just relax by the beach, have Weston play in the sand, explore new places to eat and make memories as a family. Last time we were at the beach Weston was a couple months old and I wish I had my ToteSavvy then. No worries this trip though because I have two I plan on bringing! Both my original and the deluxe for our trip.
Below you’ll find a list of my favorite essentials that I pack inside my ToteSavvy for our beach day. You can easily swap things out accordingly to the age of your child. I also sneak a few things in that will help me out as a mom. Mainly Tylenol, Tums, gum, you catch my drift!
- Change of Clothes
- Sippy Cup or HydroFlask
- Diapers and Wipes
- Water Diapers
- Sun Bum Face Sunscreen
- Baby Powder
- Tums and Advil
- GoGo Squeeze Pouch
- Sand Toys (something easy to clean)
So I’m sure you’re wondering why baby powder is on my list of essentials and here’s why! As much as we love the beach, there’s one thing that we can never get rid of and that’s SAND! So we make sure to bring some and use it on Weston if he gets it on his face. It’s also super helpful if you have sandy hands are about dive into a bag of chips.
Of course I also listed a change of clothes, diapers, wipes, etc. I mainly bring a change of clothes for Weston so he can be comfy in his seat since he always falls asleep on the way back home. Makes it easier transferring him from the car to his pack-n-play.
Water, water, water! I alway bring my huge hydroflask and Weston has his own. We drink a lot of water and being in the sun drains us of energy if we aren’t properly hydrated. Hence why I bring Advil too! I suffer from migraine so anything to help take the pain away. I’ll even add a Gatorade into our ToteSavvy because let’s be real, electrolytes are a must.
Lastly I always keep a first aid kit on hand just in case. The one pictured has bandaids, ointment and gauze. I think I found it in the dollar section at Target, but you can also buy it on Amazon.
Here you have it Mama’s! A list of what I pack in my ToteSavvy for Weston! If I missed something that I don’t have in my bag that you have in yours, let me know. I would love to hear what you have a must in your bag.
