Celebrate Every Little Thing & Soak It All In
When Weston was first born, I bought a letter board and took his picture next to it at every month, holiday and special occasion that passed. I don’t do it as often anymore because I take so many pictures of him. But what I have started doing was getting his pictures printed and writing the date on the back so I can put them in his baby book. I don’t want to miss a second of watching him grow and hit new milestones.
Be The Example
I love this saying because it’s so true. Children learn from watching- its that simple. Cody is the most kind hearted, do anything for anyone kind of person and I know Weston will be just like him when he get’s older.
Your Patience + Love Grows
I’ve always had patience and love- to an extent of course, who doesn’t? But it wasn’t until after I had Weston that my patience and love grew. My patience with myself and Husband. My love for myself, Weston and Cody. I never knew I could love someone so much until I became a mama.
Time Flies When You’re Having Fun
The busier I am with Weston, the faster time flies. I swear it was just yesterday when I was 40 weeks pregnant walking into the hospital to get induced and have him. 8 months later and I feel like I have a toddler- time has flown by! Even though I love each milestone that he hits, I sure do wish I could slow it all down. I love my little man and being a mama is my #1 job.
Your Body Changes & Thats Okay!
I’ve always had body confidence issues and I feel like that’s a majority of woman- regardless of age and size. So after I had Weston I was so determined to lose all the baby weight, but then I realized this is who I am and my body can do amazing things. My love for my body has grown more than ever and my husband has definitely contributed to that confidence. I have a woman’s body now. My hips may not be as small as they used to be but that’s perfectly okay with me. Mama’s remember, we just created a tiny little human and that’s truly unbelievable. Love yourself and love that little babe.
